I saw something in my roon

This took place last night between 3am - 5am. I was sleeping in my room with my dog when I woke up in a panic. Upon waking up I turn my head to the left and see a translucent figure in my room floating in front of me, as quickly as I saw it, it vanished.

Later around 5am I woke up to my dog violently barking in front of my bedroom door way, but there was nothing there. It prompted my father to wake up and check on what was going on.

This is the first time something like this has happened to me and I been uneasy all day about what happened. Any idea to what I saw and why?
