To remember which posts you have chilled, the site saves a short list of post IDs in your browser's local storage. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings. We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use it
We use this information to show posts and comments, rank the Hot and New feeds, prevent spam and abuse, and keep the site running. We do not sell your personal information.
Public by design
Posts, comments, names and locations you add are public and can be seen by anyone who visits the site. Do not include information you want kept private, such as your home address or someone else's personal details.
Sharing
When you use a share button, the link and post title are sent to that platform. Facebook, X, Reddit and WhatsApp handle that data under their own privacy policies.
Keeping data
Posts and comments stay on the site once published. They cannot be edited or removed at the request of the person who posted them. We will only remove content that breaks our Terms of Service or the law. If you believe a post breaks those rules, contact us with a link to it.
Children
Haunting is not intended for children under 13. Please do not post personal information about children.
