Something Weird Happened at My Friend's House

A few years ago I was staying over at a friend's house. It was probably around 2 in the morning when I heard someone walking down the hallway.

Didn't think much of it until I heard three knocks on the bedroom door. I figured it was my friend messing with me, so I told him to come in.

Nothing.

I opened the door and nobody was there. Went to his room and he was completely passed out.

The weird part is the next morning when I mentioned it, he told me his mom had complained about hearing knocking on that same door before.

I'm not saying the house was haunted, but I definitely slept with the TV on the next night.

Anyone else ever experienced random knocking like that?
