Possible Poltergiest?

I've been gone for a while. Life happened, and I've gone through some things. I'm happy to see some of the regulars are still around. I've missed y'all.

So this happened in 2021. I was in a very abusive relationship and it took me YEARS to get rid of him. He wouldn't leave my house, no car, no bank account (mama Mia's son).

He was terrible. Things got very ugly. Yelled at me constantly. For years. He finally left and I had been staying at my parents house for three months in the meantime.

When I got home, maybe May that year, something in my house felt off. But, I'd never really been alone before. I was in my 40's and always lived with someone. Fine.

One morning I woke up, first morning by myself, and I went to make a coffee. One very large, heavy lithograph I have hanging on the wall was hanging exactly sideways. I straighten it, and tried to replicate the sideways-ness. I couldn't. It's on a very thick wire. Ok.

Made my coffee and went to my bookshelf to read something. One of my vases was sideways two shelves down and gravitationally impossible for it to be in its position. I did have cats, but there is no way they could have pulled this off.

That night, I was going to bed, and noticed a very BLACK shadow move underneath my bed. Black black. There were no lights on but I could see this black mass go under my bed. I flipped on the lights and looked - nothing. I eventually went to sleep.

Next day, I called a very spiritual friend and told him. He said to immediately sage and pray (I don't pray). "It's an evil spirit." I did sage and ok, prayed to something. Nothing happened after that.

I can only assume this was a poltergeist manifestation leftover from my ex. What do you think?
